We are a small friendly yard situated on the edge of whitsbury, near Fordingbridge in Hampshire.
Having the use of the famous Whitsbury gallops, where Desert Orchid was trained, nearby is our biggest asset together with the individual attention and care that our horses receive from our dedicated team.
With a sound knowledge in athletics training coupled together with his experience of working with race horses as David Elseworth's farrier, Paul was inspired by Davids training structure and his use of the gallops. Adapting this to his own fitness theories in training his point to pointers, Paul took a 10 year old maiden to win a hunter chase as his first effort!
Having also used his training knowledge within the endurance sport, winning three fifty mile races in our first competitive season, Paul is fully aware of the importance of the feel of where the horse is in his training and how much work he needs to fulfill his potential.
In 2005 Paul decided to take things more seriously and train professionally. Following his success as a permit holder, training winners from a handful of moderate horses, Paul now holds a full licence training both national hunt and flat horses.
To our owners we offer a friendly and personal insight into the care, training and ultimately racing of their horses. We share the passion of the sport with them together with the thrills and spills. We are always open house and we endeavour to encourage our owners to join us racing at every opportunity even when their horses aren't running and ticket numbers permitting!
